Hey guys,

So the whole blogging scene is new to me, but like anything new I’m embracing it and learning as I go along!  The point of this blog is to share the experiences I have had over the past 3 years of living in the UK with you, as well as, as the description states:  work towards checking off the second objective on my bucket list.

First,  I thought I should introduce myself to you all.  My name is Jamaal Julien, and I am a 26 year old final year student at Brunel University in West London.  I moved here from Canada, after a long, thought-out process during the final stretch of my first stint in university.  Both my friends and family fully supported my move to the UK 100% which made things a bit easier.  Fast-Forward to 2015 and its still a surreal experience.  Things are definitely different compared to life in Toronto, but not by that much.  The longer I live here, the more I see similarities to life back in Canada.

I have a bucket list, which is constantly growing.  Some of the highlights on that list include:

*Go to a shooting Range in Las Vegas (to be completed May 2015)
*Skydiving (Completed that during a vacation in Cuba in 2010)
*Get a tattoo (I completed that on my 19th birthday and have been addicted since)
*Visit Europe (So far I’ve just made it to the UK, but I’m working on it!)

Which brings me to the idea of the title of this blog.  Number 3 on the list is:  Eat 5 unusual foods from every continent.  While that sounds like a big feat I’m definitely excited to complete it.  Number 2 is a bit easier:  Eat at least 10 different cultured foods while in the UK.  I plan to complete this before graduating in July.  I have been told that there are many different cultures that can be found in London, so the task shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish.  I am bringing one of my closest friends with me, who, like me also likes trying new things, so be sure to take a look at our photos and stories!  It won’t just be about food however;  I plan to visit different attractions around London- maybe things that the average UK citizen might not have even known existed!

Stay tuned!
